In 1954 the world was taken by storm thanks to a phenomenon that we have come to know and love called Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. This neighbor taught us such things as “how to take our time if we wanted to do something right” and “how to resolve hurtful feelings peacefully”. Mr. Rogers never talked down to anyone, never made them feel stupid, nor was he demeaning to them. He encouraged us to reach out to our neighbors and be gracious in how we interact with those around us.
